COURSE DESCRIPTION
From 1913-1916, the roar of engines and the thrill of speeds approaching 100 mph electrified Grand Boulevard in Corona, as up to 100,000 spectators cheered during the legendary Corona Road Races. This perfect circle in the heart of “Circle City” was the stage for automotive history. Now, 110 years later, Grand Boulevard is set to pulse with excitement once again, with the Inaugural Corona 5000, a vibrant 5K run and walk that revives the spirit of this historic course. Lace up your shoes and be part of a new legacy, racing or strolling the iconic loop of Grand Boulevard.
The 5K Course starts on 6th Street in front of The Historic City Hall, turns left onto Grand Blvd and follows the 3 mile perfectly circular Grand Blvd.
Course Time Limit
The overall course time limit is 1 hour and thirty minutes. If participants are enjoying a more leisurely pace, they will be asked to utitlize the sidewalk and follow standard pedestrian laws.
Course Support
There is a water station by located by Joy Park at approximately Mile 2.
